Volunteer Information

Central Whidbey Little League is a non-profit organization that relies on volunteers to run all league operations.

A $50.00 refundable volunteer fee will be added to each family's registration. This fee will be refunded once your family completes a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer time. Families have numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the season:

  • Team Level: Manager, assistant coach, team parent, umpire, game or practice field prep
  • League Level: Board Member, Auction Committee, Family Fun Day Committee, maintenance of the complex
  • Special Event Level: Field Work Day, Family Fun Day, concession stand shift

Volunteer hours must be documented in a completed and signed CWLL Volunteer Hours Tracking Log, available under League Docs tab on our website. Refunds will be processed via check from our league treasurer and will be issued within 30 days of CWLL's receipt of the completed Tracking Log.

Training is available for all positions. If you are interested in learning more, please email the CWLL Board at [email protected] We would love your input and contribution!

Concession Stand Volunteering

Hi CWLL families!

It's that time of year as we are nearing the time for games to start for our baseball and softball teams (Tee Ball starts May 10th) and we need your help in helping with concessions.

This is one of the most important volunteer roles to commit to as we raise a lot of money through our concession sales, and we cannot do it without you!

This season we have 20 home games to support, which is amazing and provides community members and families with some good outdoor time and lasting memories. Who doesn't like a tasty burger or hot dog at a ball game?

Click the Sign up Genius link below to pick your shifts. When selecting slots and dates, please note in parentheses you will see which team will be playing: Minor BB, Minor SB, or Junior SB. This was to help provide some clarity about which teams are playing when you select your dates.

Each shift has 3 positions available, and at least one person per shift requires a food handler card. Central Whidbey Little League will reimburse the cost for anyone who obtains their card.

This is also a great opportunity if you have older children still in High School. They can receive volunteer hours along with building their resume. If you have any questions or concerns contact Jennifer at [email protected] or you can just reply to this email.

Thanks for "stepping up to the plate" for Central Whidbey Little League!!
